Johnny Ray Gill, an actor known for lending his voice to several Rockstar Games titles, may have just dropped a significant leak about the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 release date.
In a recent interview, Gill reminisced about his previous work in GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, sharing insights into his early career experiences with Rockstar Games. “I think I was earlier in my career, and so they put the little helmet on you and they’re filming you, and you’re doing multiple voices of different characters and stuff like that,” he said when asked about his contributions to past Rockstar projects.
However, it was his comments about GTA 6 that set the gaming community abuzz. When asked about his involvement in the next installment of the Grand Theft Auto series, Gill appeared to confirm his role in the project and teased a development timeline that hints at a release in the next couple of years.
“I will say this, stay on the lookout. I can’t say anything, but there’s another situation happening in that world that may be coming out in 2025, 2026 that I’m really hyped about,” he revealed.
Although he refrained from explicitly naming GTA 6 when pressed further, his response only fueled speculation: “I don’t know. Stay tuned, we’ll see.”
Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has already confirmed that GTA 6 is scheduled for release in Fall 2025. This aligns closely with Gill’s comments, potentially offering fans an indirect confirmation of the timeline.
The buzz around the game intensified earlier this month when Rockstar released the first trailer for GTA 6 on December 4, 2023. While the trailer confirmed the game’s arrival on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, it left PC gamers in the dark regarding a release date.
Whether intentional or accidental, Johnny Ray Gill’s remarks have sparked new excitement among fans eagerly awaiting what could be the most groundbreaking Grand Theft Auto yet.
